Green Gardens is Kerala’s first eldercare home built from the beginning with the daily needs of its residents in mind. It was not changed from an old building. Every room, facility, and system was planned to make everyday life easier, safer, and more comfortable. We built Green Gardens because we had seen the problems in other eldercare homes.
Technology is often added later, old wiring has to be changed, families living abroad may only get to check on their parents through a phone call once a week, and seniors may not have an easy way to ask for help when they need it.
At Green Gardens, technology is part of the home from the start. The systems can alert the care team when something needs attention and help keep different parts of the home connected. Safety is considered in every space. The care team also keeps records of the care provided, helping them understand what each resident needs and improve their support over time.

Beena Mathew has over 33 years of experience in nursing and senior care. She leads Green Gardens with a focus on kindness, respect, and quality care.
She worked for 13 years in Saudi Arabia and 20 years in Australia, taking on senior roles in healthcare. She also managed a Supported Residential Service in Australia, where she gained a deep understanding of the needs of older people. Her experience has taught her that caring for older people is not only about health and medical needs. It is also about helping them feel safe, comfortable, respected, and supported in their everyday lives.

Mr. Saju Peter is a businessman who has been based in Australia for over 20 years. He is one of the key people behind the idea and development of Green Gardens.

His aim is to create a place where older people can live comfortably, stay connected to their culture, and receive the care, support, and sense of community they need in everyday life.

Her experience brings a strong understanding of the importance of safe, respectful, and well managed care. She believes that good healthcare should support not only physical needs but also comfort, dignity, and overall wellbeing.
